Introducing… Simon Lee Dicker. To celebrate our fourth birthday we’re putting on an exhibition that brings together a selection of professional artists we’ve worked with since we entered the Frome art scene in 2015. One such artist is Simon Lee Dicker.
Simon Lee Dicker is a UK based artist whose work explores a discordant relationship with landscape and the natural world. From intimate drawings and transient installations to event based social activities, each work is the start of a conversation often evoking ritual activity and personal narratives that involve other people in the production and presentation of work.
In 2017-2018 he was involved in an exhibition at Hestercombe – Odyssean: Topographies, for which we framed all his works on paper. We’ll be showing three from his Passing Place series at our To The Fore exhibition. Read more about this series on Simon’s website: http://www.simonleedicker.co.uk/portfolio/passing-place/
To The Fore birthday exhibition will run for one weekend only, come along to the preview event on Friday 5th April 6-8pm, and pop in on Saturday and Sunday 6th & 7th April 10am-3pm. In the studio above Mount, Silk Mill West, Saxonvale, Frome, BA11 1PT. Read more here
