Frome picture framing

[note this is an old post: we don’t offer a framing service anymore. Email me if you’re interested in my two-cents about the best local or national places to get your work framed sustainably. Any picture framing business named “Mount” or similar is not affiliated with us and we can’t vouch for the quality of their service. ]

We’re a Frome picture framing company serving a wide geographic area, including Somerset (Frome, Bruton, Castle Cary, Wincanton, Somerton, Shepton Mallet), Wiltshire (Westbury, Warminster, Trowbridge, Salisbury), Dorset (Gillingham, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Bridport) and Bath and Bristol. We’ve also worked with artists and collectors based in London, Devon and Hampshire.

Through exploration and experimentation we strive to provide excellent design and protection at a fair price. Amazing artworks can be made or ruined by a frame – our skills and processes ensure that every image has the best possible frame.

Here are some of the framing projects we’ve worked on so far:

One of our most challenging projects to date has been a series of huge frames for Anita Taylor’s charcoal drawings. Each one is 2.5m x 1.8m. Here’s a photo of Simon and one of the frames just after he finished making them.

Here’s a lovely old travel poster that antique dealer Jack Brister aka Tradchap brought in to us to frame a while back.

We made this fab lightbox for a primary school (the windmill is their icon). This stained glass panel was made by a parent of a student at the school.

We’re a fan of Edward Chell’s Soft Estate and enjoyed framing two of his large works for Karina Joseph (Field Gallery)

This black and gold ink screenprint was framed under AR glass and looks super!

This batman poster was great to frame. The grey moulding really suited the image. Anti-reflective (AR) glass really set this off so well.

2015 was THE year for Back to the Future fans, so we enjoyed framing this awesome poster using AR glass. Very fly!

We framed this amazing graphite drawing of a raven by Paul Newman  using anti-reflective glass to fully show off the play of light on the bird’s feathers; something that risked being lost under reflective glass.

The O3 Gallery in Oxford showed some our Jennifer’s work, which was of course framed here at Mount.

Mount donated 24 frames to Frome’s mayoral chain exhibition. This is an exhibition of David Partner‘s photo series of Frome town mayor wearing bespoke mayoral chains. Simon float-mounted the photos in a contemporary frame. Exhibited at the Silk Mill gallery April 17-21st.
